About the School

St. Francis English Medium School, Hasimara, is run by the Franciscans of the Ranchi Franciscan Society, Jharkhand (Headquarters), a branch of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Assisi, Italy. It serves both tribal and non-tribal children from tea gardens and the underprivileged sections of the locality. As a charitable educational institution, it reserves the right to operate according to its norms and to close the school if it is hindered in any way from doing so.

Our goal is to nurture responsible and patriotic citizens by providing quality education. The school prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and instills values like:

Discipline & Code of Conduct​

  • Students are expected to maintain discipline in and outside school premises.
  • Misbehavior in public or school transport may lead to dismissal.

  • Regular attendance, timely submission of assignments, and parental involvement are essential.

  • Disrespect, misconduct, or failure to meet academic expectations can result in disciplinary action.

Discipline & Code of Conduct​

  1. Students must show respect to teachers and staff.
  2. Absence without prior permission is not allowed unless due to illness or an emergency.

  3. A medical certificate is required for absences exceeding three days.

  4. Unexplained absence for 15+ days results in automatic withdrawal.

  5. English must be spoken within the school premises.

  6. Use of mobile phones, cameras, or electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited.

  7. Students are responsible for their belongings.

  8. Damage to school property must be compensated.

  9. No unauthorized collections or gifts for staff without permission.

  10. Promotion decisions by the Principal are final.

Parent-Teacher Interaction

  • Annual Parent-Teacher Meeting: Held at the start of the academic year.
  • Half-Yearly Parent-Teacher Meeting: Discuss student progress after mid-term exams.

  • Parental Involvement: Parents are encouraged to collaborate with the school for the child’s academic growth.
