Vice -Principal's Message

sfshasiara Vice principal

We are proud of our staff and students and invite you to get to know our school. I encourage you to become involved by volunteering or visiting school when you can. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, as part of our educational family, to the 2025-2026 school year.
A new school year is always an exciting time for all. It presents opportunities for various beginnings – new classes, new faces, sometimes new courses, new expectations, a busier schedule, more choices and often new materials. The next one year is a time for growth, challenge and adventure. Your child’s time at St. Francis School, Hasimara will be exciting and filled with many new opportunities.

Every teacher should look at this: in what simple way, with what little act or word at the right moment, can I inspire these children in front of me.

The way our education system is right now, it’s all about imparting information. There are so many ways in which you can impart this information, but if you remember to put a small spark of inspiration in all these young lives that come to you to learn, that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Information may be useful, it may help them pass an examination or get a job, but if you put that spark of inspiration, they will value you all their lives.

It’s in your hands to assure your parents that “I may not become an engineer, but don’t worry, I’ll do well in my life.”
Don’t make a problem out of nothing – you either study this or that, what’s the big deal? But, it’s in your hands to assure your parents that “I may not become an engineer, but don’t worry, I’ll do well in my life.” If you are able to give them this assurance, it may not settle things immediately, but they will see the point eventually. Right now, many of you are not able to give them this assurance. They freak out because they are convinced you will end up on the streets. If you don’t want to do what your parents think is best for you, you should show competence in some other field you like, and tell them, “Don’t worry.”

  • Parents, please take time to:
Talk with your child about their school day. Ask them specific questions about their time at school. For example, “What was the most interesting thing you did in math class today?” or “Tell me about your science experiment?”
  • Review your child’s grades on the School Progress Report. The Progress Report will be shown to the parents after each Examination, so the relevant information regarding your child’s performance on their homework, a test or quiz as well as their attendance. Your interest and concern in their school progress will motivate them to do their best.
  • Maintain contact with your child’s teachers and staff members to establish a successful home/school connection. All of our teachers have classroom websites with their contact information, homework assignments, and useful resources.

Students, here are some tips to help you get started with your transition:

  • Make reminders and plan ahead.
  • Use your school planner/agenda.
  • Make time for homework and assignments.
  • Check your grades frequently.
  • Break big projects into smaller ones.
  • Prepare the night before.
  • Get involved at school. Take interest in sports.
  • School puts more emphasis on self discipline as well as group discipline for character formation of each student and for educational excellence.

Warm Regards
